Google reportedly tests Remy AI agent for Gemini
Google is reportedly developing an AI agent called Remy for its Gemini platform. It’s currently in internal testing by employees.
Remy acts as a “24/7 personal agent” powered by Gemini, designed for work, school, and daily life. It goes beyond answering questions by taking proactive actions on users’ behalf, such as handling tasks across Google services, monitoring relevant updates, and learning preferences over time.
Employees are testing Remy in a staff-only version of the Gemini app. Google describes it as a “dogfooding” project, meaning internal use before any potential public release, though no launch timeline is confirmed.
Reports originated from Business Insider, citing internal documents and sources familiar with the project; Google declined to comment. This positions Remy as Google’s potential rival to advanced AI agents like those from competitors.
