Bihar minister Nitin Nabin appointed BJP national working president
Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin was appointed as the BJP’s National Working President on December 14, 2025. This move signals a generational shift in the party’s leadership.
Nitin Nabin, aged 45, serves as a cabinet minister in Nitish Kumar’s Bihar government, handling portfolios like Road Construction and Urban Development. He is a five-time MLA from Bankipur in Patna, winning elections since 2006, including a strong victory in 2025.
The BJP Parliamentary Board approved the appointment, announced by national general secretary Arun Singh, effective immediately. Nabin’s prior roles include BJP Yuva Morcha leadership, Chhattisgarh in-charge, and organizational duties in states like Sikkim.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Nabin’s hardworking nature, organizational skills, and ground-level work, expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the party. BJP chief JP Nadda congratulated him, anticipating new heights in nation-building.
