Delhi To Host 20-Nation Security Meet, Ukraine, Gaza Wars To Top Agenda

Delhi is set to host a significant security conclave this weekend, bringing together top intelligence officials from 20 nations. The key agendas for this meeting include discussions on the implications of the Russia-Ukraine war and the conflict in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the Gaza wars.

Participants: The conclave will be chaired by India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and attended by prominent figures such as US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Canadian Security Intelligence Service Director Daniel Rogers, and Britain’s MI6 boss Richard Moore.

Agenda: Discussions will center around the geopolitical impacts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Middle East situation. Other topics include strategies to combat terror financing and digital crimes, as well as enhancing intelligence sharing to tackle terrorism and transnational crimes.

Side Meetings: NSA Doval is expected to hold one-on-one meetings with counterparts from leading countries, including Australia, Germany, and New Zealand.

US-India Relations: Tulsi Gabbard’s visit is part of a broader Indo-Pacific tour, aiming to strengthen relationships and discuss cooperation, particularly in countering China’s influence in the region.

The meeting comes at a time when India is navigating diplomatic tensions with Canada over allegations related to the killing of a Khalistani terrorist in Vancouver.

The Russia-Ukraine war continues to be a major global concern, with recent developments including Ukraine’s significant drone attacks on Moscow and ongoing efforts to negotiate a ceasefire.

This security conclave highlights India’s growing role in international security discussions and its efforts to address pressing global challenges.
