In September 2025, the House Oversight Committee released over 33,000 pages, but both parties noted minimal new revelations, prompting demands for more from the Justice Department. Earlier, Attorney General Pamela Bondi declassified initial files in February 2025 detailing Epstein’s exploitation of over 250 underage girls.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act passed the House 427-1 and Senate unanimously on November 18, 2025; Trump signed it the next day, mandating DOJ release of all related records like travel logs and plea deals within 30 days. Grand jury records for Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell cases were approved for release by December 19, 2025.
No confirmed “client list” or blackmail evidence against prominent figures emerged; a July 2025 DOJ memo reaffirmed Epstein’s suicide and closed further probes. Emails referenced Trump’s prior knowledge claims, but he denied involvement.
