IndiGo flight from Kuwait makes emergency landing in Mumbai after bomb threat
An IndiGo flight (6E1234) from Kuwait to Hyderabad made an emergency landing at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on December 2, 2025, following a bomb threat received via email.
The aircraft, an Airbus A321-251NX, departed Kuwait at around 1:56 AM and landed safely in Mumbai at approximately 7:45-8:10 AM IST. Security protocols activated immediately, moving the plane to an isolated bay where the Bomb Disposal Squad and CISF conducted thorough inspections.
All passengers and crew disembarked safely, with no injuries reported. Emergency responders, including fire tenders, stood by during the landing.
Authorities continue investigating the threat, described in some reports as warning of a “human bomb,” though IndiGo has not issued an official statement. Further updates are awaited as security checks proceed.
