4.7 magnitude earthquake hits Maharashtra’s Hingoli district
A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck Maharashtra’s Hingoli district in the Marathwada region on April 11, 2026, at around 8:45 AM IST. Tremors were felt in neighboring areas including Nanded, Parbhani, Washim, and Yavatmal, but no casualties have been reported.
The epicenter was near Shirli village in Vasmat taluka at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates approximately 19.533°N, 77.202°E. The National Centre for Seismology confirmed the event via social media.
